Saygun Quartet, made up of Karşıyaka Municipality Chamber Orchestra (KODA) principals, was formed in 2015. Accompanied by KODA Orchestra conducted by Professor Rengim Gökmen, Saygun Quartet performed E.Elgar’s “Introduction and Allegro’’ festivals and concerts and won the first prize at “International Ulvi Yücelen Chamber Music Contest” organized in Ankara in May 2016.
In 2016-2017 season, Saygun Quartet is giving concerts at various concert halls in such cities as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, and in July 2016, gave the opening concert at Bodrum Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival together with
State Artist Gülsin Onay and was honored to accompany the artist in her 2000th concert. Saygun Quartet continues its series of concerts with State Artist Gülsin Onay while practicing with Fazıl Say and adding to their repertoire his string quartet “divorce”. At “2016 Honor Award Gold Medal Ceremony” organized by Sevda Cenap And Foundation, Saygun Quartet performed esteemed composer and winner of the award Turgay Erdener’s string quartet, gave a live performance on December 20, 2016 at TRT Ankara Radio together with Gülsin Onay, and in March, gave concerts at prestigious venues such as Buca Municipality Culture and Art Center in Izmir, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul, CSO Concert Hall in Ankara.
The quartet is made Deniz Toygür Conus (Violin), Özge Özerbek (Violin), Yağmur Tekin (Viola), Yusuf Çelik (Cello).
